The Orkney Islands were taken over by Vikings back in the 800s and have been in Danish / Norwegian ownership for many years. That’s a long story and maybe we will take that another day 🙂
Now it’s about the whisky from Highland Park.
Whisky with Viking Soul and where this one gets it’s name from – The roots in the Viking tribes.

A lovely fresh whisky 10 years old. Matured in sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks.
You will be greeted with fresh fruit in the aroma and Highland Park’s characteristic aroma and taste of the peat from Orkney, honey and heather mixed with sherry notes and soft peat smoke.

It’s not a big heavy whisky, but a delicate every day whisky.
